Chevrolet use...These are called Huck Brake Pliers. Chevrolet used Huck Brakes on some vehicles from 1936 until approx 1952. This tool was used to compress spring loaded linkage pins to allow for the removal of the lock rings. This would then allow you to remove the brake shoes from other parts of the brake mechanism.
