Vintage Silver BEADED HEADBAND Black Velvet Tiara Shape - eBay (item 310027939422 end time Mar-07-08 19:10:46 PST)
This vintage beaded headband has silver embroidery that looks like beads until you look close. Half of the design is skinny square silver slivers strung on embroidery thread. The other half is silvery springs. Together they make an intricate flower and ribbon design on black velvet fabric.
The red tag on the black lining fabric back says, "Made in Republic of India."
The band is 2 1/2 inches wide at the central tiara design and 1 1/2 inches wide at the narrow part. The band is 24 inches long when snapped shut.
There are two small flaws in the embroidery on the left side. One is tarnish or lack of shine where it was folded and creased. The other is a bit of unraveled stitching at the bottom edge of this vintage black and silver beaded headband from India.
