TWO CROCHET COVERLETS Twin Striped Hand Made Afghans!

TWO CROCHET COVERLETS Twin Striped Hand Made Afghans! - eBay (item 310030948414 end time Mar-17-08 19:05:20 PDT)

These two twin hand-made crochet coverlets have coral, blue and yellow stripes of various widths with narrow rust accents. They're 100% polyester yarn made by my friend who crochets about 60 mph. She usually makes coverlets from whatever yarn colors she has on hand. This blanket, large afghan or throw or lap robe is shown on a single bed.

The all-over stripe design has a dainty picot edging in blue. The colors are more true in the first two pictures. The stitching is solid for maximum warmth and no catching of fingers and toes in crochet holes. They are sweet, homey items to warm up your decor and snuggle up in for a nap or TV watching.

These coverlets are made of polyester worsted-weight yarn and are machine washable. You can feel extra warm knowing half of the proceeds from this auction goes to Doctors Without Borders.

Old Marvel STRANGE TALES #163 Nick Fury by Jim Steranko

Old Marvel STRANGE TALES #163 Nick Fury by Jim Steranko - eBay (item 310030930512 end time Mar-17-08 17:58:47 PDT)

Strange Tales #163 features Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Doctor Strange. Front cover art by Steranko. This is an unread copy that's been in our collection since it came out. This Marvel issue in near mint condition is listed at $60.00.

Agent of SHIELD art is by Jim Steranko. Doctor Strange art is by Dan Adkins. This issue also features fifties villain The Yellow Claw fighting Nick Fury.

This copy has great cover gloss, square corners and almost no visible stress marks at spine. The age darkening is very minor, mostly at the cover edge. There's a small impression mark (from sorting machine?) on Yellow Claw's gun.

In the first picture makes it appears there are white lines along the top edge of the front cover. We took a photo close-up that better shows the white line is very minor. You have to look close in real life to see it at all.

We try to grade fairly and feel this should be graded at near mint. We're listing it at a conservative starting price considering its condition--a really wonderful, crisp copy for your collection.

Vintage COMIC WEEKLY CLUB Tin Litho Wood Spinner Clown!

Vintage COMIC WEEKLY CLUB Tin Litho Wood Spinner Clown! - eBay (item 310030918317 end time Mar-17-08 17:06:18 PDT)

This vintage Comic Weekly Club tin litho spinner with a clown probably came out around 1948 or '49. The Comic Weekly Club was a short-lived feature that ran along with the regular Sunday newspaper comics and had puzzles and games that used the images of many of the King Features characters. The clown was just a logo image.

The tin measures 1 1/2 inches across with a wooden spinner handle and point about 1 inch long. It spins great! The underside has two tiny union logos all over it. What looks like a tiny bit of rust at the top of the clown's forehead was dirt that's gone now.
