The pull handle is black-painted metal. It's a wonderful little red wagon with a handle to pull it and wheels that turn easily to take it any which way you want it to go. Can you imagine taking a picture of your new kitten or puppy in it?

Vintage BUCKEYE ROLLED OATS BAG 5-Lb Cereal Heavy Paper - eBay (item 310021828905 end time Feb-15-08 18:50:24 PST) This vintage oats bag is marked, "Buckeye® Rolled Oats, Quick Cooking Buckeye Rolled Oats, Net Weight 5 Lbs. Manufactured by The Quaker Oats Company."
I don't know when this bag was on the grocery shelf. The price stamped on the back is $1.74. One side panel has recipes for Oatmeal Cookies and Meat Loaf. The other side has cooking directions, nutritional information and the manufacturer's name and address.
The doubled paper bag has some crinkles and bends, light soiling on the graphics part, heavier soiling on the upper edge, and some fly specks and three tiny bug holes. There are no tears beyond where the package was opened. It smells like someone's bureau drawer.

Vintage 1900 CAST IRON REX RIVETER Old Tool Still Works - eBay (item 310020907625 end time Feb-12-08 19:40:31 PST) This vintage cast iron riveter is marked, "Rex" and "27" on the side, "28" on the handle, and "Pat Oct 9, 1900" on the other side. It's rather hard to make out the date due to the rough finish.
The tool works very smoothly. The handle flies upright when you start to lift it, and it locks down when you want to clamp the jaws. I think it's for setting rivets into leather. The feet have slots for bolting the riveter to a table.
There's not much of the original shiny black finish left, just small spots on one side. The handle moves easily and compresses the two cylindrical parts together.

PINK GRANNY SQUARE CROCHET COVERLET Hand Made Afghan! - eBay (item 310020903892 end time Feb-12-08 19:22:05 PST) This hand-made crochet coverlet has pink and white granny squares all over with a border of pink, white and pink. It's 100% polyester yarn made by my friend who crochets about 60 mph. She usually makes coverlets from whatever yarn colors she has on hand. This blanket, large afghan or throw or lap robe is shown on a single bed.
This one has an all-over design of white grannies with pink centers. It's a sweet, homey item to warm up your decor and snuggle up in for a nap or TV watching.
This coverlet is made of polyester worsted-weight yarn and is machine washable. You can feel extra warm knowing half of the proceeds from this auction goes to Doctors Without Borders.
Can you imagine this bit of hand-crocheted warmth in your home?

5-In Wood Wall Style HAND-CRANK PHONE PENCIL SHARPENER! - eBay (item 310020898456 end time Feb-12-08 18:58:35 PST) This wooden box that looks like an old-fashioned hand-crank phone is really a pencil sharpener. It has a tiny sticker on the back that says, "Made in Japan." The receiver is wooden and the bells don't ring, but it sharpens pencils just fine.
The wood has tiny black dots to help it look old and dove-tail joints. It measures about five inches high and will hang on your wall. There are some minor scrapes and a dent on the side with the crank. The metal tray to catch the shavings has red tape on one corner. The blade in the mechanism looks a bit rusty, but works.

LILLIPUT DICTIONARY ENGLISH-GERMAN 2-In High Softcover! - eBay (item 310020895236 end time Feb-12-08 18:42:56 PST) This wee little book is an actual dictionary for translating English into German. Langenscheidt's Lilliput Dictionary English-German is marked, "©1964, 1977 Langenscheidt KG."
It has a thin blue plastic cover, 576 pages and measures 1 1/2 inches by 2 inches. It would fit into your pocket with plenty of room to spare next time you need to know a word in German.

Ornate 5-In ELEPHANT TRINKET BOX Kneeling, Round Basket - eBay (item 310020891352 end time Feb-12-08 18:26:34 PST) This ornate trinket box is a kneeling elephant with upraised trunk and a round basket on his back. I think it's made of composition, which seems like a light weight fake ceramic material. I see no maker's mark anywhere.
The inner box is a half round almost three inches across and half that deep. It measures 4 1/2 inches long, almost 3 1/2 inches wide and 5 1/2 inches high.
The elephant is wearing elaborate side panels and the basket has a woven reed design with curlicues and fringe. I've had it for awhile and I like it, but never found something wonderful for it to hold. Maybe you can figure something great to put in it.
