The big label on the back says:
A.B. Frost was one of the top illustrators of his time and his humorous golf subjects won him world renown. Alfred Burdett Frost (1851-1928) was an innovative cartoonist, illustrator, and graphic artist. See the worried expression on the kid's face? Characters often wore this expression in his comic strip, Stuff and Nonsense.

WWII EISENHOWER JACKET, CAP, TIE U.S. Army 44R Insignia - eBay (item 310050238720 end time May-17-08 19:01:32 PDT)This vintage World War Two U.S. Army Uniform Jacket is size 44R. The upper back lining is stamped in black ink "F-6829" two times and "B-4403" more faintly two times.
The insignia includes:- one green shield unit patch on each epaulet
- Germany patch on left sleeve
- green and yellow braid for French marksmanship over left shoulder
- one round infantry pin on each lapel
- Presidential citation with pin over right pocket
- three ribbons over the breast pocket
- a divisional patch that says "1" on the left sleeve
- corporal stripes on both sleeves
The mens size 44 R Eisenhower uniform jacket measures 22 1/2" across the chest at underarms, 19 1/2" across the belt front. The sleeves measure 23" from shoulder seam to back cuff edge, 18" along the underarm seam from armpit to cuff bottom. It measures 21" from the back collar seam to the bottom edge of the back belt.
The outer jacket is in really good condition with no moth holes, rips or tears, with a small a break in the zipper stitching. The lining is in excellent condition except that someone removed both sleeve linings.
WWII EISENHOWER JACKET U.S. Army Uniform 42R Cpl XLNT! - eBay (item 310050224081 end time May-17-08 17:59:21 PDT)This vintage World War Two U.S. Army Uniform Jacket is size 42R. There's a unit patch that says "1" on the left sleeve, and corporal stripes on both sleeves. The upper back lining is stamped in black ink "F-6829" three times.
The mens size 42 R jacket measures 21" across the chest at underarms, 20" across the belt front. The sleeves measure 25 1/2" from shoulder seam to back cuff edge, 18 3/4" along the underarm seam. It measures 22" from the back collar seam to the bottom edge of the back belt.
This vintage WWII Eisenhower jacket in really good condition. There are no moth holes, rips or tears. The only thing wrong with it are food stains on the underside of the lower right sleeve and smaller remnants of food stains on the right lapel. The lining is in excellent condition.
Vintage Winking WESTERN BARBIE Doll Used in Box #1757! - eBay (item 310049906409 end time May-18-08 17:55:08 PDT)This vintage winking Western Barbie comes with her original box, booklet and some cards. The box says, "She gives you her autograph and a wink." This doll must have winked once too often and is stuck in a permanent wink now. Mattel No. 1757.
The box says there's a comb, brush, perfume bottle, mirror and instructions. The instruction booklet is here, but not the rest. There's no stamper as pictured. Her boots are missing, too.
She's in good condition except for her eyes. Her western outfit is in good condition. The box is somewhat banged up and has been taped at the upper front. A handwritten tag stapled to the top says, "1966" as if they thought that's when this winking Western Barbie doll came out?
Vintage HANDWOVEN HANDBAG Overshot Design Purse, Frame! - eBay (item 310049905724 end time May-16-08 17:51:46 PDT)This vintage cream and black handbag features an old-fashioned handwoven overshot design popular in coverlets in the 1800s. It was likely woven on a narrow four-harness loom. There's no maker's mark.
The metal frame is expertly installed as is the lining which has a surprise touch in the floral braid trim inside the frame edge. The cream threads in the weave have the sheen of rayon. The purse is lined with cream lining fabric.
The engraved metal frame and chain handle have lost most of their silvery finish through age and use. The fabric shows wear near the frame. The purse is definitely black and cream, not navy and cream like the photos suggest. The cream is lighter in real life, more off-white on this vintage handwoven coverlet-design purse.
Vintage Victorian Courting Couple SCOURING PAD HOLDER! - eBay (item 310049651936 end time May-15-08 20:14:49 PDT)This vintage ceramic Victorian couple decorate a scouring pad holder. The bottom is both embossed and stamped, "Made in Japan."
The back has an opening for the pad and the bottom has an opening to allow it to drain. The pad hides out of sight behind the courting couple.
Is it just me or does she look a bit alarmed at the lute playing? Actually they're both looking at something else, almost like they've been discovered courting.
