This vintage cast aluminum woodpecker toothpick holder moves to pick up a toothpick for you when you push down on his head. There's a sewing machine needle glued into his beak that stabs a pick in the hollow "log."
The underside is embossed, "Morton Grove Products." At least I think that's what it says. It's a bit hard to make out the second word.
The paint on the log is worn off all the high points. The woodpecker still has almost all his color.
