This vintage Hemmi slide rule and leather slipcase are small, about 6 1/2 inches long. The rule is marked, "Sun, Hemmi, Japan, No. 149A."
A slide rule is the earliest pocket computer. The center slides back and forth as needed for computing. The window slider helps you cross reference the numbers and settings.
The lines of numbers are marked, "L, K, A, CF, CIF, C I, C, D, LL0 and LL/0" on one side. The other side has "LL/1, LL/2, LL/3, DF, B, T I, S I, C, D, LL3, LL2 and LL1."
