This old collection of songs for musicians says, "Worlds' Fairest Songs New Improved Volume 5, Latest Show Tunes, Best Standards, Popular Foreign Songs, Limited Edition, For Professional Use Only."
The small print says, "This reference is produced as a service to the professional performing musicians and is not intended for sale at profit to others.."
It's a thick book with blue plastic binding holding 486 pages of songs. The foreign songs are Italian, Jewish, Irish, Latin, Russian, French, German and Hawaiian.
The "latest" show tunes are from the sixties, we think, judging from the list of titles (see below). The sheet music gives the basics: key, chords, single notes for the melody and lyrics. There are chord charts of 187 basic chords--one for those who read chords and one for those who don't.
