This complete set of the four unauthorized Charlton Jungle Tales of Tarzan has art mostly by Sam Glanzman. Burroughs, Inc. asked Charlton to cease publishing or there would have been more. The four issues were published in December, 1964, and February, May and July, 1965.

Unlike most of the Tarzan comics, these were direct adaptations from Edgar Rice Burroughs' book of short stories Jungle Tales of Tarzan. Charlton was going to adapt the entire book. The last issue was illustrated by Montes and Bache.

These are unread copies in excellent condition. There is some age darkening on the covers and a minor bit of foxing, particularly on the back cover of the last issue. The covers are crisp and new looking with a few small spine creases from being shifted around in the collection for the last forty-four years. There are one or two dents on the covers in the set from when a newsdealer was handling them when new.

These comics are very collectible and difficult to find in this condition. Judging from guides, the value of this set is at least $150.00.
