This decorative plate shows an artist's rendering of the Syria Mosque, a Pittsburgh, PA landmark that has been torn down for years now. The plate has a Shiners emblem and is dedicated to "James P. Houggey, Potentate - 1970." The artist signature says, "Betty. L. Heiges, '69."
I'm not sure if this china plat is for hanging on a wall or for holding snacks. The wear on the gilt edge suggests it was used for something instead of just admired.
