Vintage Hunter's Brown POWDER HORN Primitive Hand-Made! - eBay (item 310073888624 end time Aug-13-08 17:55:56 PDT)
This vintage powder horn is made of an actual horn with the wide end plugged with a wood block with a screw for the strap. The pour spout end has a carved groove for the strap.
The stopper and strap are missing. A cork and some leather lacing would work great. I think a hunter wore it on his right hip, judging from the worn finish on the one side.
