Cap Stubbs, Tippy ORIGINAL COMIC ART Edwina 'OK Now'! - eBay (item 310089353384 end time Oct-08-08 18:37:54 PDT)This Cap Stubbs & Tippy comic strip original by Edwina Dumm was published in newspapers in the late 1950s. It's one long strip that wouldn't fit in the scanner. The title is "Everything's OK Now." It shows Grandma, Cap Stubbs, a neighbor girl and the dog Tippy.
The last panel has the hand-printed date "10-27," but the top margin shows a date of "Tue Nov 2." She crossed out "Fri--Oct 23" in the top margin. Edwina often changed her mind about the sequence of strips while working out her story, thus the multiple dates. Note the numerous push pin holes where she tacked it to her drawing board while creating the art.
The sticker in the second to last panel says, "The George Matthew Adams Service, Inc." which was the name of her syndicate. She signed this strip under the balloon in the last panel.

Uncut SHIRLEY TEMPLE PAPER DOLLS 3 Sizes 18 Outfits! - eBay (item 310088810840 end time Oct-06-08 19:18:18 PDT)
There are three Shirley Temple Paper Dolls in this uncut 1986 Dover book edited by Grayce Piemontesi. They were originally two separate paper doll books that were published in the thirties.
From the back cover: In 1934, at the age of six, America's favorite curly-headed moppet won a Special Academy Award for bringing "more happiness to millions of children and millions of grown-ups than any other child of her years in the history of the world." By the time she was eight the young star was the number one international box-office attraction.
Now this new collection of classic Shirley Temple paper dolls makes the diminutive charmer available once again to delight fans, film buffs, paper doll collectors, as well as youngsters who know Shirley only through TV and old films. Assembled by noted collector Grayce Piemontesi, these full-color dolls and costumes are compiled from two rare and popular collections first published in the 1930s.
Included in this volume are three full-color dolls--each a different size. The largest covers two pages and is 20 7/8" high; the medium-sized doll (10 1/4" tall) is two-sided and comes with outfits that give a delightfully realistic front-and-back view to the figure. The smallest stands 5 7/8" high. Youngsters can dress these dolls in 18 attractive costumes--pleated and ruffled party dresses, pinafores for home and school and sunsuits for the beach and backyard. There's also a snugly belted raincoat with galoshes and umbrella, a perky sailor suit and a wide assortment of accessories, including hats, shoes and handbags.
Attractively printed on heavy stock, this affordable and incredibly life-like collection will enchant movie fans, collectors and children of all ages.
Compilation of paper dolls originally published by The Saalfield Publishing Company, Akron, Ohio in Shirley Temple: A Life-like Paper Doll Cut-out, #1765 (1936) and Shirley Temple Standing Doll, #1727 (boxed set, 1935). 3 dolls. 18 costumes.
