This vintage string of six bells needs restrung. The leather cord is rotten and breaks easily. The bells are likely brass-plated iron as a magnet sticks to them. They look hand-forged, rather primitive with seams at the sides riveted shut.
Four are oval and two are square-shouldered. They all have slanted lines forming a design around the base. The clappers are simple lengths of metal. They look rough but sound lovely. I'm a sucker for bells. Are you?
